Tonight, Opinions Editor Diana Kugel and Contributing Editor Justin Guiffre will be live blogging the SA meeting starting around 10. As usual, Emily Cahn will be covering the hard news and the Opinions Page will be providing some commentary.
The meeting is crucial because of recent developments in the runoff election for SA president between Kyle Boyer and Julie Bindelglass. Of five complaints filed against Boyer, four of them are being investigated by the Joint Elections Committee. If three of them are upheld Boyer will be removed from the ballot for crossing the $1,000 campaign expenditure limit. A failed attempt to postpone the election has led several senators to write legislation to push the election back; which will be introduced tonight.
This is shaping up to be SA drama at it’s best (or worst) and should be interesting, so tune in to the Hatchet’s live coverage tonight at 10 p.m.
