Alumnus Ira Lee Sorkin, who graduated from GW Law in 1968, is representing Bernie Madoff, the investor expected to plead guilty to a Ponzi scam involving more than $50 billion.

Sorkin, 65, is a former head of the New York office of the Securities and Exchange Commission and has practiced law for more than 41 years.
