To follow up on Saturday’s news that freshman Kayla Miller left the GW women’s basketball program, the guard has apparently transferred to the University of Delaware, where she will resume her basketball career.
Miller is a Delaware native, which her quotes in the Delaware Online article seem to indicate played a big part in her decision. She also seems to have liked GW, but says “it just wasn’t [her] fit.”
She will be eligible to play for the Blue Hens in the spring semester of 2010 after sitting out the next two semesters – the same process current GW guard Yolanda Lavender just completed after transferring from Wake Forest last winter. Lavender’s first game as a Colonial was Sunday’s win over Princeton, the team’s first action since Miller’s departure.
Attempts by The Hatchet to contact Miller have gone unreturned thus far.
