The GW women’s basketball team lost to #10/10 Auburn 65-51 last night in their second home loss of the season, both against ranked opponents.
The Colonials (5-4) were led in scoring by senior Antelia Parrish, who contributed 13 points and played all 40 minutes after being inactive in Tuesday’s win over Troy for violating a team rule. She made three of six three-point attempts and added four rebounds.
The Adair twins both fell just short of double-doubles, as Jessica scored 11 points and collected eight rebounds while Jazmine had 10 and nine.
Senior DeWanna Bonner did most of the damage for the Tigers, as the Fairfield, Ala. native scored 30 points, including eight of Auburn’s final 11, and grabbed 16 boards. She averages 20.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game on the season.
