Former Democratic Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, a GW alumnus, is projected to win the race for the Virginia Senate seat, CNN projected shortly after 7 p.m.
Warner’s opponent is Republican James Gilmore, also a former governor of Virginia. Currently, 8 percent of precincts are reporting.
