Hundreds of students have already packed the College Democrats watch party in Continental Ballroom in the Marvin Center eager to hear the results of the election state by state.
Students cheer for every Democratic state that has been called on CNN’s live broadcast as well as for marginal leads in other states.
“The rest of the year we work, and tonight is us celebrating,” said senior Cory Struble, president of the CDs. “Throughout the campaign we have been sleeping on floors, making phone calls, canvassing, and now we can enjoy our efforts.”
The CDs expect 2,000 students to come in and out of the watch party tonight. Students are also enjoying free food and an inflatable jousting arena.
