The GW men’s soccer team will battle three opponents that played in last year’s NCAA Tournament, including two that were part of the College Cup — soccer’s version of the final four.
GW will travel to Virginia Tech Sept. 30 and Massachusetts Oct. 26 and will host Loyola (MD) Sept. 13. The Hokies and Minutemen were part of the 2007 College Cup.
In addition, the Colonials will defend their title in the D.C. College Cup to kick off the season. Head Coach George Lidster has said this year’s recruiting class is one of the best in program history — and it appears GW will be put to the test.
