GW freshman guard Miles Beatty will transfer out of Foggy Bottom, his high school coach confirmed Wednesday. Bob Hurley, who coached Beatty at St. Anthony High School, said he spoke with Beatty’s father who confirmed that the freshman planned to leave GW.Hurley said he was not sure why Beatty decided to leave, but said there was “a separation that occurred in second semester,” and that the issue may not have been basketball-related. Hurley also noted that because of the relatively late transfer, Beatty might be planning to attend a junior college next year.
