Golf finishes 11th

The Colonials finished 11th in a field of 15 at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate in Hilton Head Island, S.C. The tournament was a two-day, 54-hole contest on the par-72 Wexford Plantation Course and was hosted by Francis Marion University.

Junior Eddie Newland was the low Colonial, shooting a 12-over-par 228 (75, 72, 81) that left him in 25th place among 81 individuals. The team shot a total of 920 over the three days, +56.

Elon University finished first with a combined 26-over-par 890. Elon’s Jimmy Lyttle was the individual medalist, shooting a three-under-par 210 for the tournament.
