Less than 24 hours after being upset by UNLV at the Four Points by Sheraton Invitational in New Orleans, the Colonials defeated Samford 64-57 at the same tournament. Senior Kim Beck led all scorers with 21 points for GW (6-3) while junior Jessica Adair added 19 points. Twin Jazmine Adair had 12 points and senior Sarah-Jo Lawrence, who had 22 against the Lady Rebels, had 10 points.

Samford (6-2) cut the Colonials’ lead to three with 1:25 remaining but GW pulled away for the seven-point win.

The Colonials now have a week off before traveling to Villanova University Dec. 8.
