Dick Cheney received an electronic shock to his heart to regulate his heart beat and returned home Monday evening.
Dick Cheney visited his doctors Monday morning for treatment of a lingering cough from a cold. Doctors found an abnormal rhythm in the upper chambers of the heart – called atrial fibrillation, according to a news release.
The 66-year-old has had four heart attacks in the last three decades and has a defibrillator to regulate his heartbeat.
