The Vern Express spring semester schedule has been increased to include departures every 15 minutes until 2 a.m. on the weekends. The shuttles departed every half hour last semester.

Mount Vernon officials have also decided to keep the shuttle stop located at 25th and Virginia Avenue, claiming student feedback warranted the decision. The stop provides close access to the Kennedy Center, Hall on Virginia Avenue and the Georgetown Waterfront.

Stops at this location will not take place on weekdays between 6 and 10 a.m.

Mount Vernon officials encourage students to inform shuttle drivers when they board if they would like to stop at this location and making themselves visible to drivers for pick-ups.

The changes will be effective starting Jan. 16.
