Carl Elliott missed only two shots in the first half, giving the GW men’s basketball team a 52-18 lead going into the half. Elliott, who scored 19 points in the half, got help from nine points from Maureece Rice and 10 from Noel Wilmore.
The Colonials (1-0) started the game on a 22-7 run, draining 10 of its first 12 shots.
Dartmouth’s 18 first-half points is one of the fewest points scored in a half in the Smith Center. Dickinson scored 14 in 1978.
