A University Police Department officer observed a male student urinating in the bushes along the street. The officer informed the student public urination was illegal and told the student that a report would be written and forwarded to Student Judicial Services.

10/13 – Off Campus – 6:00 p.m. – case closed
A student who works in Northeast D.C. said he was walking from the Metro to his office when a group of five or six men began to follow him. The student said he felt uncomfortable and started running toward his workplace. One man chased him, he said, and as he reached the front door, the man grabbed him and pulled him away from the door. The man let go of the student when he saw other people coming towards the door. The student also filed a report with the Metropolitan Police Department.

Attempted Pick Pocket
10/13 – Ivory Tower – 12:55 p.m. – case closed
Two men were pick-pocketing students in the Ivory Tower food court, a student reported. He said that while he was eating he noticed two individuals enter the area, and start to put their hands in several jackets and backpacks for about 20 minutes. The student said he did not see either individual take anything. UPD received the report after the suspects had left the area.

Drug Law Violation
10/15 – City Hall – 9:55 p.m. – case closed
UPD officers received a report from students who found a broken mirror in their room. They also indicated illegal contraband was in two different places in their room. UPD officers saw the contraband and notified the community director to conduct an administrative search. Three bags
of unidentifiable drugs were found with drug paraphernalia. The drugs were later determined to be marijuana and Adderall.

10/14 – Aston Hall – 7:50 p.m. – case closed
A UPD officer on patrol in the Aston smelled a suspicious odor in a hallway. The officer identified the room and notified the community director, who conducted an administrative search of the room. Drug residue was found in the room, but there was not a sufficient amount of marijuana to weigh.

Liquor Law Violation
10/14 – Munson Hall – 2:13 a.m. – case closed
A female GW student notified UPD that another student was intoxicated in her room. The intoxicated student was sitting in a chair and unconscious. D.C. Fire and EMS was contacted, which transported the student to the GW Hospital for further medical attention.
