Duke big man Shelden Williams had 13 first half points and freshman Josh McRoberts put in 6. Guard J.J. Redick had eight points.
GW got five from sophomore Maureece Rice and 9 from senior Mike Hall. The Colonials were denied easy opportunities and got in foul trouble, with Regis Koundjia and Hall racking up three fouls a piece.
