Posted Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2:30 p.m. A building at 2100 M St. housing University offices has opened back up after being put into lockdown mode by the Metropolitan Police
Department.
Police placed the building on lockdown after a bomb threat was called to an adjacent office building at about 2 p.m., said John Petrie, GW assistant vice president for Public Safety and Emergency Management. People were not permitted to enter or leave the building.
The building at 2100 M St. houses the University’s accounting and financial reporting offices, though the departments are in the process of being moved to the GW’s Ashburn, Va., campus. Petrie said that by about 2:20 p.m., 2100 M St. was opened up again.
