Hobbs to win an Oscar

For the most part, GW basketball practices are closed. There are few people that Karl Hobbs lets into the Smith Center. I have been in a real practice a few times and I can tell you that it’s nothing like the open practice was today. The GW basketball team works really hard in practice, not lollygagging like they did today. Here are a few funny ruminations from today’s extravaganza:

• Despite the name change, Hobbs still calls Danilo, J.R.
• The banner raising ceremony for the A-10 banner will be at the scrimmage on Nov. 12 against Augusta State.

The GW Hoops message board must have been silent from 5-6 p.m. because I’m sure a few board heavies were there. I’m off to Vegas this weekend to cover a music festival for the Hatchet. Nice break from sports.
