Thomas Blankvoort finished 11th overall and the GW men’s golf team tied Dayton for fourth place at the Atlantic 10 Championships last weekend at Penn National Golf Club in Fayetteville, Pa. Xavier won the tournament finishing 23-under par in the 54-hole tournament. Xavier’s Tim Donovan finished the three-round tournament at 19 under par. Last year’s winner, Rhode Island, placed second at 13 under par.
Blankvoort shot a five-over-par 221 (72-72-77).
GW’s Brad Friedlander and Bryan Derdenger tied for 14th overall. Ryan Day, who led the Colonials at the April 15-16 Cleveland State Invitational in Delaware, Ohio, tied for 35th overall.
Next weekend the Colonials travel to Penn State University for the Penn State Invitational.
