1999 graduates Yegor Mescheriakov and Seco Camara are teammates again – this time in the Italian A2 League with the team De Vizia Avellino.

Mescheriakov, GW’s sixth all-time leading scorer, signed last week after being waived by an A1 League team, joining guard Camara, a GW reserve who appeared in 19 games last season.

Basketball notes:

– Some details from the men’s basketball Atlantic 10 schedule have surfaced although it hasn’t been officially released yet. It is known that GW’s home games with Rhode Island and Temple will be on ESPN, and at least two of GW’s other A-10 games will be on ESPN2.

According to Temple, the Colonials’ home game with the Owls on ESPN will end the season Saturday, March 4, 2000. Temple is 14-1 all-time at the Smith Center.

– Colonials Basketball! is no more. The Web site, that is. For several years, this site has been the prime meeting place for GW faithful around the world. But starting this past weekend, it was shut down in deference to the new arrangement the site’s creator had made with Rivals.com. The new GW site, which will be maintained by the same webmaster, can now be found at www.georgewashington.rivals.com.
