Residents of the District aren’t all political aides and tristate-transplants. D.C. is teeming with individuals who are critical to the fabric of their respective neighborhoods, from an El Salvadorian woman behind a LGBT nonprofit to the owner of an authentic Italian distillery to an educator who shows elementary school students the ideas behind conflict resolution.
The Hatchet will put a face to every corner of the city with 25 videos, each featuring a neighborhood figure. The first eight videos were released April 9, another eight were posted April 16 and the final batch was posted on April 23.
